This is a sampling of some of the things I paint. There’s more on my Instagram and I accept commissions. My project, “Encountering Mughal Women,” has sketches and illustrations drawn from a Mughal text penned by Gulbadan Begum (d. 1603). Gulbadan was the daughter of Babur (d. 1526), the legendary founder of the Mughal Empire (1526-1857).
